It is a book written in 1931 by a baptist minister.
I believe in “The Journey Home” with Marcus Grodi a reference to it was made in one of his programs. probably when he was talking to one of the many baptist ministers who have converted to Catholicism.
Of course being of baptist heritage, unless you are in an apologetic discussion with one there is nothing to discuss.
Peace!

I have changed the title of your post to something people are more likely to understand and I have moved it to non-Catholic religions as it is about Baptist ecclesiology.

It seems to be a book arguing that the Baptists can trace themselves back to the apostles. It also seems to rely on a lot of past movements that the Church condemned as heretical in their time (Cathars for example).

I don’t think it’s a book that a Catholic would find interesting or credible.

I still don’t understand the OP’s question, however. Who is “the other sect”? Surely he doesn’t mean that us Catholics are “the other sect”? We’re not a “sect”, we’re The Church.
