a good book on the Eucharist? I’ve got a pretty good collection of books on Mary, the lives of the saints, the Passion, etc., but almost nothing on the Eucharist.

Sorry I have not read this one…but I have heard it highly recommended by Patrick Madrid (an excellent catholic apologist whose opinion I trust) on at least one ocasion. I plan to read it some day.

The Hidden Manna by Rev. James T. O’Connor

I hope that helps!

I’m sorry to be little to know help, but a book I’ve been interested in (but haven’t had a chance to buy) is The Mass of the Early Christians by Mike Aquilina. I don’t know how it is, orthodox-wise, but it certainly sounds interesting.

Here’s a link to it on Amazon.com:

EDIT: Here’s some other books that I’ve just noticed. Again, I haven’t read them, but they sound like they’re close to what you’re looking for. And one of them is from a Cardinal, so it has to be good! 🙂

The Lamb’s Supper by Scott Hahn

The Mass: The Glory, the Mystery, the Tradition by Cardinal Donald W. Wuerl

Here are some excellent ones by Pope Benedict XVI:

God is Near
Feast of Faith
A New Song for the Lord
The Spirit of the Liturgy

You can’t go wrong with Pope Benedict XVI/Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger!!! 👍

I’ll second “The Lamb’s Supper” from Hahn. I’d also like to recommend Jurgen’s three volume set “Faith of the Early Fathers” for pretty much everything and anything.
