Seeking to find out quickly if there’s any exception in the canonical law to allow the Archbishop of Diocese to grant Declaration of Nullity (lack of form) due to extenuating circumstances to allow Pastor to marry my husband and I before Pastor enters monastery for one year under silence next week.

His request to enter was granted by the Archbishop but gives the parish only two weeks to be with our Pastor. Father is taking one month with family and friends before his entrance and he is my only spiritual director I have had since re-entering the Catholic faith after 40 year hiatus. I have been without Holy Communion for nine (9) months. Candice

Lack of form is not a decree of nullity, it is an administrative paperwork process. The only person that can answer your question regarding whether or not the bishop can or will expedite the paperwork (assuming you’ve turned it all in) is the bishop himself.

Your priest should contact him. It is absolutely pointless to speculate on this forum as to what the bishop might do in this situation.

If the bishop does not expedite the paperwork, you should make arrangements with another priest to convalidate your marriage.
