Peter, since your clandestine (to those who are not familiar with the term, in Masonry it means false or fake) I cannot discuss with you anything regarding real Freemasonry, however all the information you requested can be found on Ed Kings website, which I know you are very familiar with.
What disingenuous jokes both you and Ed King are. People here are far too intelligent to be conned by you.

Ladies and gentlemen, I rest my case. A profane man in the truest sense of the word making excuses for his throughly profane organisation.

Did not deal with one single issue. Just like Ed King - a user, a manipulator, an apologist, a misinformer, a disinformer, and a liar. I suspect that his surname is Goebbels.

Peter,

You can sit there and postulate all you want, but the fact of the matter is that you are clandestine and thus profane, you will have to find some other group to engage in discussion. As a suggestion, why don’t you try and engage in some discussion with GOOFUS; at least you both have something in common with both groups being clandestine.

That being said, please refrain from name calling; it only reduces your credibility.

I am a freemason (recognized Blue Lodge) and have been now for a number of years. I can honestly tell you from my perspective, Freemasonry is not a religion, nor a substitute for religion; in fact all freemasons (at least in my jurisdiction) are instructed to be steadfast in the faith of their acceptance. There is an altar in the lodge where the Holy Bible or other VSL is on display to remind us of our obligation to God. I agree with you that there really is no benefit, spiritual or temporal, of Freemasonry that a Catholic cannot find in the Catholic Church. I’d go father to say that there really is no benefit, spiritual or temporal, of Freemasonry that a person of any religious persuasion cannot find in a House of Worship.

If your joining a Masonic Lodge for spiritual or religious reasons, you’ll be extremely disapointed and will be referred to the House of Worship of your choice.

I know that the Catholic Church does not permit membership in the Freemasons, but I think its safe to say that my lodge is composed of approximately 40% Roman Catholic members, so while they may be considered to be in a state of grave sin, none of them seem to have an issue with it.

Just an honest perspective from a Freemason.
There have been many High degree Masons that have written books about how the Freemasons are out to destroy the church, and now we have proof…those Catholics in your lodge are defying the church.
So what you are saying is that those 40% of Catholics have set themselves up as their own Magisterium? And you say that it is not a religion on it’s own?..sounds like it is to me…how is that different from someone “disagreeing” with the Catholic church and going and starting their own church? Catholics MAY NOT be Masons…no matter how little of an issue they have with it~

ccolley, thanks for your response. Do tell me, what benefit would it be to Freemasonry to attempt to destroy the Catholic Church?? Lets be real here. What would we do? try to claim your Cathedrals?

If you think your own Catholics are trying to destroy your church I have no answer for that. If they are defying the church its beyond our control. I’m not sure what a Magisterial is so i cannot answer that. What I can tell you is that the Catholics who are lodge members, have done so on their own free will and accord. And yes, I’m saying that it is not a religion on its own no matter what you maintain. I know first hand that its not since I am a Mason. Its quite likely that the Catholic members would tell you the same thing as well though I honestly doubt that the church would find that acceptable.

I realize that the Roman Catholic Church forbids its members to be Freemasons, however that is not a concern for us; rather its between the church and the member.

Deal with the issues:

The Masonic God of Baruch Spinoza’s Enlightenment - “Deus sive natura” - God and Nature - Nature and God - one and the same - indistinguishabe from one another - “A supreme being” - a denial of God the Creator and Preserver of all things and a denial of the immortality of the soul.

This is the reason why your form of freemasonry is banned by the Catholic Church (and others). It is a “naturalistic religion”. It is quite disgraceful that you do not make this clear to your applicants. You KNOW that you are deceiving them, and placing their immortal souls in danger. That is wicked.

Current list of those faiths and religions who have made public statements either banning or condemning the Moderns form of freemasonry:

The world of Islam
Celtic Christian Church
Roman Catholic Church
Synod Anglican Church of England
Synod Australian Anglican Church
Methodist Church of England
General Association of Regular Baptist Churches
Orthodox Presbyterian Church
Presbyterian Church of Ireland
Reformed Presbyterian Church
Presbyterian Church in America
Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland
Salvation Army
Wesleyan Methodist Church
Church of Scotland
Baptist Union of Scotland
Free Church of Scotland
Russian Orthodox Church
Assemblies of God
Church of the Nazarene
Evangelical Mennonite Church
Grace Brethren
Christian Reformed Church in America
Independent Fundamentalist Churches of America
The Evangelical Lutheran Synod
Lutheran Church Missouri Synod
Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod

Not just my opinion.

The Roman Catholic Church ex-communicates Moderns freemasons and the world of Islam arrests, imprisons, sequestrates, and executes Moderns freemasons.
