Doctors of osteopathy (DOs) are physicians who have all of the privileges of medical doctors (MDs). Their training takes a different approach, one that is more holistic (i.e., focus on the “whole” rather than the individual parts) in nature than MDs, but that is simply a recognized alternative form of medical practice. The Church has no position or “stance” on this. Catholics are free to go to any licensed physician whose medical practice they trust and believe to fit their individual health needs.
