Can deacons join a third order?

I am a Roman Catholic Deacon, ordained 18 years ago.
Have any deacons ever also joined the 3rd order?

Yes indeed. Diocesan priests can also. Fr. John Trigilio belongs to the Dominican Third Order. We have a deacon who is joining a new Dominican chapter in the central valley of California.
