Can fitness be spiritual? How do you keep fit?

I think that any form of physical activity that pushes one’s endurance can be spiritual as well as physically beneficial.

There are many ways to tire one’s body out, sparring with a punching bag for 1 minute, endurance swimming or running or body building.

Not everyone plays a team sport, but no one can get away without exercise and fitness.

I cannot stress more how important it is to keep conditioning oneself to have a spirit of peseverance, even if stretching is your thing.

Just as Christ endured an agonizing 3 hours, all we are expected to do is to ensure that our lives are pleasing to God right until death.

What a better way to live than to live with a healthy body, mind and soul FULL of JOY and LIFE that one has to share with others 🙂

I love getting out in nature for a bush walk and not just the nice easy ones ( I did a 17km one last january and the veiw at the end was worth it the most breathtaking site id ever seen) just me and my thoughts and God’s creations, theres a 3 day one I want to do although im not 100% sure im up to it.

Eh, every corpse on Mt. Everest used to be a highly motivated person. Stay lazy my friends.

JUST KIDDING!!!

Hiking, cycling, swimming. And various hobbies that captivate the physical and spiritual; gardening, woodworking.
Prayer and fasting (bad at it unfortunately. If the world depended on me passing up a beer we are in trouble)

" Bodily exercise profits little - rather - exercise thyself unto Godliness " - St. Paul.

I always wondered who Paul was thinking of - when he said this -
Was it a Roman Guard who had muscles - and laughed at Paul for being such a twirp -
