Can God apply the graces of the Rosary to other things than what we offer them for?

So I mainly recite my rosary for the souls in purgatory. I believe that the power of the rosary besides the mass is one of the most powerful prayers and forces in this universe. That is why When I recite my rosary I make sure to offer it to the Souls in Purgatory. But will the graces of the Rosary be mostly applied to the Souls in purgatory or can God also apply it to say…the Crisis in the middle east/ ending the violence over there even though we never really offered it to that cause? A little scruple yes but I would like to hear from you all.

Well, God can do whatever He wants. I am scrupulous, by the way, and I once feared that I had consecrated myself to Mary and was concerned that she could apply my graces (from prayer, communions, etc.) any way she liked, even if it wasn’t who/what I offered them for. I hadn’t done the Total Consecration to Mary–I was simply afraid that I had consecrated myself to her because I had been praying every night, “I consecrate myself completely to you and I place my entire life in your hands to lead me to your Divine Son, Jesus.” Anyway, I finally just prayed to God, “Lord, you can apply my graces any way you like…you’re God. And if you wish to give Mary the power to apply my graces any way she likes, then again, that’s your choice…you’re God.” I still offer my prayers and communions for certain people and intentions, but ultimately, it’s in God’s hands. Having said that, I would think God is pleased that you are praying for the souls in Purgatory, and I would also think that your prayers are helping them. We just have to trust that God sees the big picture, and He knows what is best.
