For those interested, this question arises out of an earlier thread, If we are not justified in Baptism…Then Christ died in vain.

I don’t think I ever said or suggested that God was “frustrated by the liquid.” I’ve made my beliefs on baptism pretty clear in the thread linked above. I believe that God is all powerful. If he wants to regenerate us through baptism, he is certainly able to do that. That is not my theological understanding of baptism, however.** I suppose that means that you consider me and other Christians like me a blasphemer** because I deny the power of God in the sacrament, as you’ve stated in the first thread. All I can say in my defense is that I do not deny the power of God at all. I do however disagree with Catholic sacramental theology.
Not at all Itwin! In order to blaspheme, one must perceive and accept the presence of the sacred and then desecrate or deny it. Persons such as yourself who have never received the teachings on the sacramental life, and who have been taught that they do not convey grace cannot be considered a blasphemer. Neither could you be considered a heretic, or an apostate. There terms cannot be applied to someone who has been raised in a faith tradition that has never been in unity with the Catholic Church.

Water is a signature for purification of the Body. Like many have washed themselves before prayers back in the days or enter Gods temple, it is to cleanse before you worship the King which is God.

The cleansing of the sin is i belive known as Hades. Where its a hit/ per sin method, and that where focus of physical martyism came into play somewhat. As a poster stated in earlier post, God can forgive you of your sins anyway he likes. But a guidence is needed for us, and it was given by the water and through the Holy Spirit.

cleansing of sins through the Holy Spirit is not required to enter heaven as it isn’t stated anywhere in the Bible. Holy Spirit itself, known as the third person of the trinity godhead is also have said to come in flesh and remind us of what Christ have said. And like Christ, he would also endure suffering for the mankind to for our entrance to heaven and to complete the trinity.
Jesus was crucified to wash away the sins of mankind. Not for entrance to heaven, just because your sins are forgiven does not mean you will be permitted to heaven. Jesus said entrance to Heaven in like needle in a haystack. Holy Spirit is said to fill the final role for mankind and make it complete for all souls of the trinity line the entrance to heaven Thus, when trinity completes, kingdom of God, the new jerusealum will be on earth.

As far as suffering of the holy spirit for mankind is evident in scripture;

Ephesians 4:30 by St. Paul, "And do not grieve holy spirit of God,with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

And as Jesus prophecised of the final prophet of the trinity line in John 14:16

“But the Councelor,the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you”

Now you know why the saints are said to be in paradise and not in actual heaven until after revelations.

This infact can be that year where we see the Holy Spirit, maybe in a month where the Mayans Calender ends on 12.21.2012 . They did say it’s a “new spiritual beggining” for mankind. who knows??🤷

Rags, aprons, shadows, staffs, bones, cloaks, water, etc. God mediates his power & love to us through both the physical and spiritual aspects of his creation.
