Hello all, I’m new to this group. I’m trying to return back to my Catholic faith after being lost for a while. I think that I have truly messed up my older childs spirituality. I was baptized Catholic and received the sacraments of Holy Communion, and Confirmation. My daughter was baptized Catholic but when she was older got baptized Pentecostal following my ignorant move. When that happened I barely attended mass and was not knowledgable of my religion. I blame myself. At this point I am trying to return to my Catholic faith. My question is will my daughter have to be baptized again if she wanted to receive the sacrament of Holy Communion. Faith formation classes will begin in November.

Any help for a lost soul trying to get back on track.
Thank you in advance. God Bless

Hi,

Her baptism in the Catholic Church will always remain valid. But before receiving Holy Communion she needs to be instructed in the faith and she will also need to go to Confession. I suggest that she check with your nearest Catholic parish in order to learn what Catholics believe. You would do well to accompany her.
