A Catholic friend of mine conceived a baby through fornication. Now, some of the members of my prayer group are organizing a baby shower for her. But I’m confused as to whether I should attend this event. On the one hand, I don’t want to give the impression that fornication is okay, but on the other hand I don’t want to come across as someone who doesn’t love the person and honor her for the fact that “at least” she didn’t abort the baby. She herself doesn’t seem to think that there was anything wrong about this (fornication) and in fact she is thanking God for “blessing” her with a baby. I need some sound advice here.
