Can I become a Catholic?

I was baptisted in the Baptist Church but have been reading and praying about joining the Catholic Church. However, I previously belonged to one of the Freemason auxillary organizations but did renounce any affiliation when I came to the realization it conflicted with my Christian beliefs. I want to know if I am even elligible to seek membership in the Church. I prayerfully await your response as I don’t want to approach a local priest if I will only be turned away.
