Can I bring my baby in confessional?

Hello - I’m a new mom of a seven month old boy. My parish offers confessions after the 8:30 am Mass on Tuesdays. I’d love to go that confession time as we regularly attend weekday Mass. However, is not allowed, or frowned upon if I bring my son into the confessional with me?

I would say it depends on the age of the child. The last thing you want is your child innocently repeating your confession at your next family holiday dinner. As long as the child is unable to understand what’s being said and taking place then I don’t see the problem.
