My former husband has been dead for several years. We were married for 14 years. I know I would not need an annulment to remarry, but I am considering requesting one. Is this possible?
You did not need an annulment. Marriage is “until death does us part.” Once one of the spouses of a marriage are deceased then the marriage bond ceases.
I don’t think the tribunal would even consider it because there is no practical reason to attain one and there is no way for the deceased to offer anything.
