Can I go to a Lutheran church for Independence Day?

A few years ago I went to a support group, which was helpful to me after I had a stroke. The group was held at a local Lutheran church and the Pastor helped run the meetings. He is a very nice man. I no longer go to the meetings there, and I do go to Mass every Saturday evening. Today I received a call from the pastor to come to his church for an Independence Day event. He is an ex-Marine and they will have a Marine band there and other music. I’d like to go, but is that okay with my Catholic faith?
 
This sounds like a social event, not a religious service, so there is no reason why you can’t go.
