Can I go to Confession?

I am in RCIA and will be confirmed in a few months. The RCIA program has a retreat planned before Easter with various events, including an opportunity for us to go to our first confession.

I do not want to wait that long to go. Am I permitted to go to the parish up the street for confession even though I am not catholic yet even though I fully intend to be?
