Hello i’m brazilian. Is kicking answers in college assessments a sin? could i use the evaluation result? I have the option of not using it, but it would cost me a lot because it is for university scholarships

If “kicking” means guessing then I don’t think it would be a sin because that isn’t the same as cheating. Kicking isn’t a term I’ve heard used in this context before you learn something new everyday! 🙂

I remember multiple choice questions, and one certainly had to use their brain to pick or “guess” the best response.

risk a guess between several options, but without trying to answer. it would be like selecting the right answer with luck

Your teachers should know about the assessments and whether there is a penalty for guessing. Some tests will mark you down for guessing incorrect answers vs. just leaving it blank.

Part of the adventure of getting through school is knowing how to take standardized tests effectively. This skill is different than just knowing the material or subject area. This is just one of those skills that will get you to where you need to go in life.

I am not sure what you are asking. I believe there is a language barrier here. I would recommend you either ask a Catholic Internet forum that uses your own language or consult with a local priest. They would be able to advise you better, as they would know your language and avoid any problems of communication.

No, guessing on a test is not a sin. In fact, the tests are designed with the expectation that you will guess, and they score you accordingly. There’s nothing wrong with engaging in behavior that is in perfect compliance with how the test was designed to be taken.

Some tests encourage guessing and some penalize it. The trick is to know the difference before you take it.

Why would you think guessing on a test would be a sin?

As others have mentioned, some tests have a penalty for a wrong answer. In that case it’s better to skip the question rather than guess. Some tests have no penalty, in which case it’s better to guess. However, this is test-taking strategy and has nothing to do with sin.
