Can I modify the Benedictine prayer of exorcism legitimately

I love reciting the Latin prayer of exorcism in my daily prayers while holding the medal of St Benedict.

But the prayer centers only around casting Satan away from myself.

Can I legitimately say the prayer to cast him away from my whole family (because I have spiritual leadership over my family) and/or over all the people, say, in my church/city/country (over whom I do not have any spiritual authority).

That is, can I change the three instances of the word “mihi” (crux sacra sit mihi lux, nunquam draco sit mihi dux… nunquam suade mihi vana…) into “familia mea” or “Ecclesia sacra catholica mea” or “urbi mei” or “patria mea, ” etc. (Crux sacra sit familia mea lux…)

By the way, it’s been decades since I took high school Latin; I may have gotten it wrong and google translate is incompetent at best.

I would NOT form your own prayers against the devil, to do so would be close to talking to him, as opposed to using prayers approved for laity, which the Benedict medal is part of.
 
From what you’re describing here, I highly suggest you look at Fr. Ripperger’s book “Deliverance Prayers for the Laity”. He is an FSSP priest and an exorcist, so he knows his stuff. The Devil and his demons are strict draconian legalists, so I would not want to make or modify prayers like that personally.

I have read this book and found it very useful. It’s part of the reason I thought to ask about changing the direct object of the Benedictine prayer. Thank you for your response!
