Can I offer prayers to God for my deceased grand parents who weren’t Christians? I find conflicting arguments on this. What would the members here think about it?
One thing I noticed is that it seems throughout the history of the Church, I have never seen a prohibition or even a word said against praying for non-Catholics who have died.

Christians were given more, thus more will be expected from Christians. So yes, definitely pray for the souls in purgatory regardless of what religion they were on earth.
