An adoration chapel should not be used for any other purpose than adoration of the Eucharist. If you spend part of your adoration time reading, particularly if it is devotional reading, that is fine. But if you are just using the chapel as a place to plop down and read, then that is inappropriate. In other words, you have to keep in mind that the chapel is a place to visit Jesus in the Eucharist; it is not a public reading room. Some may read while visiting Jesus, but their purpose in being there is to visit Jesus, not to read.
