Can I share a hotel room with a friend and her father?

I am a 20-year-old woman. Would it be wrong or cause scandal to share a hotel room with a friend (of the same age) along with her father? We are making a road trip together.

Unless the room is a suite (in which sleeping areas in separate rooms can be arranged), it is not a good idea for a grown woman to share a hotel room with a grown man, unless he is her husband. I recommend getting two rooms; one of them to be shared by you and your friend, and the other to be used by her father.
