Can I wear a laminated brown scapular?

I am allergic to wool. I have seen a laminated brown wool scapular offered. Is it the same as wearing the wool one?
 
Sure. You could also be enrolled in the brown scapular using a laminated cloth scapular and then wear a brown scapular medal (example) for everyday use.
