I was given a brown scapular that was in my grandma’s belongings after she died. What can I do with it? I have it in a “special” place as a reminder to me, and although I’m not sure about wearing it myself yet, I wondered if I even could.

If I can, does it need to be “reblessed” or “reconsecrated” to ME?

If I can’t, what is the proper thing to do with it?

Thanks.

Wear it with love. Hopefully you’ve already been enrolled in the confraternity, but the scapular need not be reconsecrated or reblessed to you specifically. ('Twould be a funny sort of God that only gave directed blessings like that!) So wear it in good faith and remember your grandmother!
