I wasn’t sure whether to put this in the World News section or put it in the Non-Catholic Religions section, so I’ve opted for the latter.

In light of the anti-semitism row surrounding the UK Labour Party at the moment and their party leader Jeremy Corbyn’s attendance at a Seder meal with the controversial Jewish group called Jewdas, I am trying to get my head around the concept that a Jewish group can be anti-semitic. Is this possible? How?

Catholics can be called anticatholic. It’s not nessecarily true, but there are divisions in almost any group, and they can get ugly.

I suppose you can dislike your own kind, although I think it is rare.

For instance, some people call those who are anti-Zionist, anti-Semitic. Many Jews are anti-Zionist, so in some people’s eyes it makes them anti-Semitic, as strange as that sounds. Of course I highly doubt that anti-Zionist Jews see themselves as anti-Semitic.

Believe me, I have heard many hardcore Zionists says that anti-Zionism is basically just anti-Semitism in disguise. I think they say this to try to shut the conversation down and stop people from criticising Israel for some of its actions.
