Dear friend,
We all make mistakes. If you are registered in a parish and are living your faith, your child may be baptized. Parents are the first teachers of the faith to their children. They teach first and foremost by example. The Church does not insist that you marry the father, but it does expect you to live a chaste (celibate if not married) life-style.
