Can priests give Reconciliation over the phone?

It is not what they could do to the priests that I would be worried about. It is what they could do to you.

I think it was talked about Catholic Churches in Australia few years ago;
that Priests though should tell the Confessional Recipients,
if any Crime has been committed, the person should do that part,
and co-operate with the Law ASAP, has part of their Penance and remitted sins (forgiveness)

A priest cannot make absolution conditional on turning oneself into the authorities nor require it as penance. The priest cannot say or do or require the penitent to say or do anything that reveals their confession.
