Can someone other than a Christian saint perform miracles? For instance, a woman says her doctor cured her cancer and it was a miracle. Her doctor is Jewish; he is not Christian. Can people outside Christianity/catholicism perform miracles?

And God can choose anyone he pleases to work his miracles through. Remember Moses “performed” some of the greatest miracles of all, and he was Jewish.

I think God only performs miracles, so anyone whom God chooses can perform them.

I believe this answer is yes. God does the miracles but, God remains always true to his word. Someone who casts out demons and lays hands on the sick in Jesus’ name and believes it? God will do the miracles for that man in order to honour his word. It is also possible that that person doesn’t know Jesus.
This is why there’s scripture where the people say didn’t we do mighty deeds in your name and the Lord says, depart from me I never knew you…

The word of God is the truth and God stands by it.

When you consider there are false miracles in the world, even Satan can induce miracles to be performed. (Check out the book of Revelation for proof of this).

Then non-Catholics can perform miracles. Can they become official saints?

:Hmmm: I think you are missing the point.
GOD alone performs miracles.
Saints in Heaven intercede on our behalf to GOD to grant us the miracle.
A miracle is an event that defies or transcends the normal physical world.
An example is a cancer patiente with an incurable and inoperable tumor gets cured without medicines and the medical profession has to validate that they cannot explain how the tumor disappeared.

A Saint is someone who has led a very Holy life always following Jesus and those in the OT followed GOD and his commandments.
Once that person dies and the Church establishes that he did indeed lead a holy life he can be Beatified, then in order to be canonized Saint there is number of recorded “miracles” that have to have ocurred through His/Her intercession.

However as stated before, said miracles come from GOD!
Hope this helps. 👍

I can’t watch the video (slow Internet connection) so I can’t comment on that particular case.

But - illnesses, including cancer, can go into spontaneous remission. And sometimes there is a misdiagnosis. That’s why the Catholic Church is so careful about declaring a healing as a miracle.
