Can anyone recommend a book I can read that will give me a good overall knowledge of how to defend my faith and how to explain the reason things like homosexuality and abortion are wrong? Thanks a lot.

As always your arguments, like your books, will be geared toward a specific audience.

If you have a secular audience, then Handbook of Christian Apologetics is a good start.

Also, you need a firm grounding in The Bible. Start with the new testament and read it cover to cover. On average, it’ll take one year at one hour a day.

Oh, and if all you want to know is why homosexuality and abortion are wrong from a non-religious perspective, you might click and here and here. If you want the Biblical arguments, that’s much easier.

God Bless,

Good advice, this.

If you are dealing with anti-Catholic fundamentalists, Mormons, and or Jehovah’s Witnesses, here is the best and least expensive series you can own:

Beginning Apologetics 1–8
