“Catholic nun commercial”: youtube.com/watch?v=6UY5sZPU32s

A most lovely hymn begins at 0:12. It has been well over a year and a half since I first heard it, and still do not know what it is called (I already messaged the Youtube user who uploaded the video – never received a response). Anyone know the name or have an idea as to how to find out?

I am not sure. To clarify and perhaps aid in your search, it is a chant not a hymn. I can’t make out most of the words but it sounds like it starts with a form of bene (dictus?). In the middle there is a phrase “quem per qui angeli” if I am hearing that right.

It is indeed the Alma Redemptoris Mater, which is the seasonal hymn for Our Lady for Advent, Christmas and Epiphanytide. Ironically, tomorrow is the first day of the new Church year, and the first day that *Alma Redemptoris Mater *is sung each new year. It is sung for the next forty days. 😉

Isn’t it sung until Candlemas on Feb 2, which would make it 60 days.
