I am new to the website and not sure if I could find this answer through a search.
Question:
What about elderly people getting married when they know that they are incapable of propagation? e.g. a couple of octagenarians tying the knot, knowing full well that they cannot conceive.
What about these elderly people not even being able to consummate the union?
Would a priest marry them?
A couple in this situation may simply be seeking companionship, but the civil aspect of an actual marriage may be desirable for the financial, medical, moral, etc.protection afforded to each spouse.
