I went to a creationist museum today. I was curious, that’s all. They believe in an incredibly literal translation of the Bible and use it to explain science. Therefore, they cite the Bible as their evidence when explaining different scientific phenomena. Is this legit? Is it a credible source for science? I think no, but want to hear the true answer.

Do you have a link to the Museum? It might help in formulating a response to your question. Also, do you mean voted or vetoed?

I meant cited but autocorrect thought I meant otherwise.

Was the bible written by scientists?
Normally they write differently I think. 😉

The Bible teaches us how to go to Heaven, not how the heavens go. So while some scientific facts might be found in the Bible, it should not be used as a scientific text.

My wife and I took her mother to this (or a similar) museum, and replica of Noah’ ark this past summer: Creation Museum . I did not expect much and was not disappointed.

I am a person of faith and science. I believe they both teach valuable but different truths, both important and neither contradicting the other.
