My understanding of the Catholic Church is that dogmas are irrevocable teachings and cannot be changed or altered even by a pope. Assuming my understanding is correct, how is it possible for Blessed John Paul II to have ‘re-formulated’ the dogma “No Salvation Outside the Church” as he obviously did in the current catechism, section 846?
The dictionary states that re-formulating is to change or revise!!!
Could it be that the catechism/pope has erred on this particular Dogmatic teaching?
Dogmatic teaching is NOT subject to change…right???
