Can the Eucharist be confected from a form other than wheat?

Some catholics have ciliac disease, or gluten intolerance, which means they have an allergy to the gluten in wheat.
I realize that they can recieve communion in the spieces of precious
blood, but this is not always distributed.
Can rice hosts be concecrated? Or has the church made any other
accomadations for this disease?

The bread used for the Eucharist must be made of wheat alone. (canon 942)
