My wife and are going to make onesie’s for our up coming child, We wanted to know if there would be anything wrong with placing the Pope’s picture on a onesie?
Onesies is a trademark registered to Gerber Childrenswear LLC, which continues to enforce and defend its trademark. Onesies undergarments are bodysuits manufactured or licensed by Gerber Childrenswear LLC for infants and are designed to cover a diaper when worn. Generically, the garment is called a creeper, diaper shirt or snapsuit. The British English equivalent is babygro. Babygro is also a trademark brand, invented in the U.S. in the 1950s by Walter Artzt. What is a onsie?
A onsie is like a large napkin you stretch and pull and tug over your baby’s head till you think its head will snap off. Then you have to jam its little arms up around its ears to get them in the arm holes. Then you snap it under the diaper. Wait five minutes. Then you have to pull baby’s head off again in order to get it off because now it is covered in aforementioned mysterious substances.
I always preferred little undershirts you snapped in the front.
I like the onesies that say “Cradle Catholic”Call me crazy, but I’d never pout one of those priest onesies on my baby…
However the Pope’s picture I don’t think is disrespectful but maybe some kind of symbol or logo might be a better choice?

Six children, several neices and nephews, and more neighbor children than I can count. I know all about spit-up and vomit and all the other bodily eruptions that babies do. That isn’t what I was talking about. I was talking about respect and propriety.Leopard, how much contact with little babies have you had? The front is exactly where the spit up will go. And trust me when I say that mysterious substances have a way of migrating all over a baby’s outfit. I repeat, babies are messy little creatures.![]()
It’s a personal thing for me i guess, the details of which I won’t bore you with, just something from experience. Why not?
I have 4 sons, while I’ve always felt like our 3rd one (who is 2 now and too big) would be a Priest if any, we have a 7 week old and I plan on ordering that priest onesie today!

I thought your reply was hysterical!!
Look what I found, and I would put my boys in these in a heartbeat … of course, my Baptist grandmother would probably have a fit!
Have a son?
