I respectively and politely disagree with you. Mark 7:17-20 is not of context and does answer the question “Can we eat meat on Easter”. Jesus said: All food, including meat, are clean at all times.
I agree with you that fasting is a biblical concept. You were referring to Matthew 6:16-18
16 “And when you fast, do not look gloomy like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces that their fasting may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.
17 But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face,
18 that your fasting may not be seen by others but by your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
The purpose of fasting is to deny our ourselves, which is mainly through food, but can be through TV, social media, and etc… and, to replace food or time spent eating, with seeking intimacy and wisdom from the Lord through prayer, worship(Prostration), and reading the bible.
If the purpose of fasting is not to seek intimacy and wisdom from the Lord through prayer, worship(Prostration), and reading the bible, then fasting is just a diet or self adoration.
