I am not sure if my first request happened as I am new to this group. My question was whether or not Canon Law allowed for a parent to go before a Church Tribunal to request that one of a child’s sponsors could be officially removed from that capacity eight years after the baptism? The reason for said request is that the sponsor has engaged in sinful behavior which has caused damage to the family and the child. I can be more specific about the behavior if necessary.
