Jesus speaks of Heaven many of times in the Gospel readings. Many important testament people were raised into the heavens, sometimes heaven can be found within us, then also heaven can be a state of mind. Are they all in the same? Will Heaven be better than the beautiful grassy plains and sunlit Oceans? The Heavens will pass and my Word will never pass Jesus states somewhere in the Gospels. Heaven is a beautiful place that we all seek to find and be a part of.

But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”—

Nobody still alive can guarantee us what heaven will be like. Some people claim they have had near death experiences (glimpses of heaven while they were technically dead)–possibly true, possibly not. Also some saints were supposedly given glimpses of heaven and hell. All of this is just personal revelation though and as Catholics we are under no obligation to believe them. Jesus said that neither eye has seen nor anyone beheld the glory that the Father has planned for us. Thus, even if every revelation that any human being–even a saint—claims to have experienced isn’t true, I think heaven must indeed be an awesome place!
