Can you answer these two questions?

I’m just wondering, what does Jesus want to express to Mary Magdalene when he said to her, “Touch me not!” Does the risen Christ doesnt want to be touched because he’s clean?

Second, my brother asked me a question and seriously I cant answer him. his Question to me was, “Is God the father also dead when Jesus died on the cross? If no, arent they The Three divine persons in one God?” That question also remained in my head :confused::confused::confused: Thanks:)
 
Hi,

“Touch me not” is not a good translation. “Do not cling to me” as in the New Jerusalem Bible is better. There was nothing wrong with her embracing Him. She would indeed know His embrace in heaven. But now He wanted her to go and tell the others.

Only Jesus’ human nature died. His divine nature cannot die. Nor can the Father and the Holy Spirit die.
