Is there any way to be baptized before you go through the RCIA process? Are there any special circumstances?

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is not absolutely required for entry into the Church; but it is generally preferred, especially for those who are to be baptized (i.e., catechumens) rather than received into the Church (i.e., candidates). However, if you would like to receive accelerated instruction, or if you believe that you are already sufficiently knowledgeable of the Catholic faith to be received into the Church, I recommend talking to your pastor. He can outline your options.
