Can you explain Mary's Assumption?

Please, can you tell me the bible book and verse that confirms Mary’s ascension (says that she doesn’t die)?

Also, what book in the bible discusses purgatory and what purgatory is?

Why does the Protestant bible not contain certain books of the bible? What was the reason for the protestants removing these books?
