Can you explain Tradition, big 'T' vs. little 't'

I was discussing Catholic doctrine with someone, and on one of the issues she said, “Oh, that is a little ‘t’, I don’t believe/subscribe to that”.

Can you give some examples of Big - T and little - t ?

Is everything in the CCC big-T ?
