Can you get married if you are sterile?

A woman I know was a chaste Christian who later in life had breast cancer. In the process of saving her, they gave her a hysterectomy as well. In the Catholic church, is it true she could never marry?

It seems cruel for a person who probably never knew marriage to be denied it and I don’t know what to think of this situation. Any help is very appreciated.
