I am in a marriage where my husband is emotionally distant and has mentioned not wanting to continue in our mariage. There is alot more but I can’t type it all in this space. This is extremely hurtful to me because we have been together 30 years, married by the church for the last 8. Is it wrong for me to make the decision to see a therapist? He will not go to counseling but I feel I need to talk to someone about my feelings in all this. I’m really at a lost at what to do. I’d like to know what the Catholic shurch feels about situation as this. What should I consider? Thank you. 😦

Dear friend,

It is not wrong to see a therapist. In fact, this might help you find a Catholic therapist in your area"

If you can’t find a Catholic one, I still encourage to see one. You are in our prayers.
