Can you help in preparing a mentally retarded adult to become Catholic?

Hi,
I’d like ideas and references on my helping, one on one, a retarded adult to learn to become a Catholic. What are the core essentials to cover? Any thoughts on how to tutor such a person? Good resource matierials?

Unfortunately, there don’t seem to be many resources.

Since first posting this I have learned that the Archdiocese of Chicago has some resources.

Interestingly enough, Cardinal George himself suffers from the effect of Polio, I believe, from the past. The United States Conference of Bishops web site is woefully lacking in such resources.
