Can you help me understand about women preachers?

I was looking for a scripture passage in the index of my bible, and I stubbled upon a list of verses under the title “women-must not preach”. The verses were from 1 Cor 14:34 and 1 Tm 2:11. Could you help me understand perhaps the context of these verses and what the church says about women preachers? I’m a little confused by these verses and I hope you might be able to help me out!
