Hello, I do apologize if this question is not posted in the correct area. My question is about the process of joining the church. I am currently a Pentecostal minister looking into the Catholic faith. My church has a controversy going on that has caused me to look back and really figure out what I really believe and seek truth in a way that I have never done before. That journey has led me to the possibility of joining the Catholic Church. I still have some questions and some things I need to look into but it’s becoming a real possibility.
I was baptized in the Catholic Church when I was a baby but my parents left the Church before I started receiving communion so I wasn’t really raised Catholic. So my question is what do I need to do exactly to become catholic? Do I need to go through RCIA? Do I need to be baptized again since I was also baptized in my current church “in Jesus name” instead of the Trinitarian formula?
Thank you in advance for answering my question.
