Hi,
Tomorrow at Mass I need to speak for 2-3 minutes on Generations of Faith, first grade CCD class and Liturgy of the Word for Children, before our religious education coordinator makes an appeal for the second collection. Any advice? I have a 7 and 10 year old; we attend all the GOF, the 7-year-old’s in CCD, and I sometimes lead Children’s Liturgy of the Word.
I thought about just briefly describing each program. Another option was one or two anecdotes about my children in connection with these programs. I also wondered about expressing my personal gratitude for these programs, or perhaps instead talking about the programs as a source of church community that we can all feel blessed for and proud of.
