What can i do ? i feel as if i’m born again in to the Faith , and while i was a lukewarm Catholic i did go to confession for my grave mortal sins because i was sorry for them and because i knew i hurt God when i did them but i went to confession at a time that i was lukewarm, not really into the Church , not into it’s teachings , not who i am today. A healing happened in my life and has brought me back , and the Divine Mercy has been something thats been calling my attention for awhile. I know i can’t re-confess my sins because they are forgiven , but what if i didn’t mean it as much as i do now when i said I’m sorry. If i only had one chance to get into Heaven and relying on Jesus’s Divine Mercy to get in , should i confess my horrible sins or is this just a matter of me not forgiving myself and i need to move on?
God bless and thank you

Hi,

If you were sorry for your sins when you confessed them, the Lord has forgiven you. Perhaps the grace of the sacrament has made you more repentant now than you were when you confessed them. They were forgiven nonetheless. Yes, Alex, it’s time to get on with your life. Even tepid Confessions are forgiven because it is God who is doing the forgiving and not us.

Happy Easter!
