Listening to a program on the Guadalupe Radio Network yesterday afternoon, I heard the story of a saint about whom I would like to learn more. Unfortunately, I can’t remember her name!
She lived (I think) somewhere in Europe during the Middle Ages. She was forced to marry a powerful man (king or noble, I can’t recall). After living with him many years and being a good wife to him in spite of his brutality, she separated from him and went on to found a convent. At one point her husband tried to abduct her to take her back, but he did not succeed. She was known for her holiness and dedication to the education of the nuns under her care.
She had a rather unusual name. I wish I had been able to look it up yesterday when I heard about her.
Any ideas?
