Can you make a clarification on being "conceived without sin"?

I’m becoming familiar with the doctrines concerning Mary, and really I have no problem with them so far, but I have a question. If Mary was miraculously born not in a state of original sin, in Catholic doctrine, does that also mean that she was never subject to temptation so that nothing would go wrong? I ask this because Adam and Eve were also “conceived without sin”, but were tempted by the Serpent and fell.

Being born without sin does not mean there is no temptation. As you pointed out, Adam and Eve faced temptation. Jesus was also tempted: (Hebrews 4:15) “Christ was tempted in all points even as we are and yet he was without sin.”

The angels obviously were without sin yet many of them were “tempted” to rebel against God and actually did so.

Obviously not suffering from original sin makes it easier to resist temptation since there would be no disordered emotions and desires but that doesn’t remove temptation completely. Mary was not a robot, she still had free will and had to choose to cooperate with God’s plan.
